The technology is legal
IPTV simply means television delivered over the internet. Many well-known live-TV services are IPTV. The question is not the technology but whether the content is distributed under a license.
What enforcement targets
Rights-holders and anti-piracy groups such as the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) have focused on people operating or reselling unlicensed services, using lawsuits, domain seizures and subpoenas. Enforcement is aimed at sellers rather than viewers.
How to evaluate a provider
- Does it explain its licensing? Responsible providers say how content is licensed and name the arrangement.
- Are there public terms, a privacy policy and a copyright / DMCA policy? These show a business that expects scrutiny.
- Is the price plausible? Be careful with claims that are far beyond what the market supports.
- Do they respond to rights-holder notices? A valid DMCA process is a good sign.
- Is there a real trial and human support?
What we do
We publish our Terms and a Copyright & DMCA policy, respond promptly to rights-holder notices and do not use other companies' logos or marks as bait. You are welcome to ask us about our licensing before you buy.
Bottom line
